COACHING STAFF

Our approach to development requires coaches who personally know each player.

All of our coaches hold a USSF National License, and have significant playing and coaching experience. 

JOHNSON ASIEDU- TECHNICAL DIRECTOR

Johnson has extensive knowledge about the game of soccer from Africa to America as both a player and a coach. A native of Ghana, Johnson had the opportunity to play in Europe at an early age in the Netherlands and Belgium. His playing experience includes: Ajax youth, Anderlecht (Belgium), KVK Deinze, KFC Roeselare and KFC Kuurne (Belgium). Johnson is fluent in Dutch, French, Flemish and several other languages.

COACHING EXPERIENCE

Johnson holds a USSF national coaching license and has been coaching and directing in the San Diego area for over 12 years. Some of the positions he has held in competitive youth soccer clubs are as follows:

  • Fallbrook Fury, Assistant Director

  • Lightning Soccer Club, Boys Coach

  • Feyenoord San Diego, Technical Director

  • Rancho Santa Fe Attack, Assistant Boys Director

  • DMCV Sharks, Director Competitive Boys

 

ACHIEVEMENTS

Over the years, Johnson has coached his boys’ teams to victory in numerous tournaments. Some of the most notable ones are:

  • National Cup Finalist

  • 3 Nomads Thanksgiving Championships

  • US Club National Championship

  • 5 CSL Championships

  • Semi-Finalist World Youth Cup (Gothia Cup)

  • Several Presidio League Championships

 

In addition to these accomplishments, Johnson’s teams have won the Pegasus Cup, Nott’s Cup, Harvest Cup, Arsenal Summer Classic, MLK Las Vegas Cup and many others. Through his passion for the game of soccer and his dedication to developing the whole player, Johnson’s coaching efforts have been instrumental in enabling many players to achieve success at the college and professional level. He continues to coach and mentor many of these players long after they leave his teams.

Some of the players he has helped develop are: Connor Chinn (NY Redbulls), Eric Avila (Dallas FC), Andy Iro (Columbus Crew), Chris Pontius (DC United) and the Farfan brothers (Gabe and Michael). For the past four years, Johnson has been conducting training sessions for players in preparation for the Major League Soccer Player Combine and Super Draft.

ZE ROBERTO - ASSISTANT DIRECTOR

Born and raised in Brazil, Ze has had an international career in both indoor and outdoor soccer. He was honored recently as one of the Top 25 players in the past decade of the USL for his time with the Montreal Impact, Hershey Wildcats and Rochester Rhinos from 2000-2010.

 

Indoors, Roberto starred in the MISL with the Philadelphia Kixx, Detroit Ignition and Harrisburg Heat. He currently plays professional indoor soccer with the San Diego Sockers. Coach Ze brings a tremendous amount of passion, intensity, discipline and focus to the teams he coaches.

CRIS NEGRETE - GOALKEEPER COACH

​

With FCGS-San Diego Cris has focused on becoming a top Goalkeeper coach in CalSouth. Cris has been coaching since 2006. He works individually with each goalkeeper on every FCGS-San Diego team.

 

Coach Cris played under Coach Johnson at Rancho Santa Fe Attack when they took the team to the National Cup Finals. While in High School in Orange Glen, Cris won back-to-back CIF titles. Cris also attended Palomar College where he won the Pacific Coast Conference title.

BELLO ALHASSAN

Bello grew up in Ghana and at the age of 10 moved into The Right to Dream Academy, a non-profit organization aimed to provide Ghanaian children a chance at developing their soccer skills and education. At the age of 15 he left his family and moved to the Dunn School soccer team in Santa Barbara. He was recruited to Western Arizona College where he spent a year and then transferred to UC Irvine.

KACIE OLIVER

Kacie attended Longwood University in Rhode Island where she studied business administration, graduating with a concentration in finance and a minor in communication studies. Rhode Island and where she was captain of the collegiate team.

After graduating from college Kacie played professionally with UPC Tavagnacco in the Italian Woman’s Serie A division. In the 2013/2014 season, Kacie played in the European Champion’s League and won the Coppa Italia with and ended up playing in the 2013/2014 . Kacie came back to the US to continue her professional career in the Woman’s Professional League with the Houston Aces.
